“Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.” Romans 13: 8,10

OPENING PSALM: 119: 58-64
Inclusive Language Psalms: Christine Robinson
Gracious God, we come this day seeking courage and hope for the future. Our world seems to be in such peril right now, it seems to be nothing but self-interest everywhere we turn. Both truth and justice seem to have gone by the wayside these days. We are exhausted. Help heal the wounds. Help us quiet the words of war. Help us to bring peace to our families and communities. Banish the darkness of doubt and fear; anoint us with your light and love that we may spread the good news of your mercy to everyone. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
HYMN: #507 I Come with Joy (vs. 1-4)

I come with joy to meet my Lord,
Forgiven, loved, and free,
In awe and wonder to recall
His life laid down for me.
I come with Christians far and near
To find, as all are fed,
The new community of love
In Christ’s communion bread,
As Christ breaks bread and bids us share,
Each proud division ends,
The love that made us, makes us one,
And strangers now are friends.
And thus with joy we meet our Lord,
His presence, always near,
Is in such friendship better known:
We see and praise Him here.
