GREETING

PSALM 118 Karen Armor
Give thanks to the Holy One, who is good
whose mercy endures forever.
I called on God in my distress
God answered my prayers
God is with me—therefore I am not afraid
Whatever happens will happen
God will be at my side
I will be strong.
People are fickle, Society not very helpful
God is always present.
And all my fears and foolishness that buzz
and swarm in me like bees—
With God’s help I will calm them
for God is my strength and my song,
and my salvation.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

SACRED PRACTICE

Today we honor and make sacred our greeting of the day. We bless the gift of our rising this day. Together in a deep spirit of love, we acknowledge the sacred nature of our participation in all Life. May we engage in prayer for healing and for wholeness, for the whole sacred world.

Let us pray together:

May I come to see the sacred nature of each moment of consciousness in my life. The grace that lets me open my eyes each morning and an appreciation for my time spent living. Let all my risings be a blessing.
