WELCOME Rev. Tom Gough

OPENING PSALM 85:8-13 Rev. Tom Gough
I will listen to what you have to say, Adonai — a voice that speaks of peace, peace for your people and your friends, so long as they don’t return to their folly.

Your salvation is near for those who revere you and your glory will dwell in our land. Love and faithfulness have met; justice and peace have embraced.

Fidelity will sprout from the earth and justice will lean down from heaven. Our God will give us what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.

Justice will march before you Adonai, and peace will prepare the way for your steps.

OPENING PRAYER
Visionary God of all the universes, Creator of all that lives, take away the myopia of your dispirited people and remove the blinders, even as we worship in such an odd way today. We are still not used to living so much of our lives in virtual space, and it sometimes troubles us more than we can say. It can be too distracting. So, may our worship today, however we experience it, lead us listen for the comfort you bring us and motivate us to become more adept at listening for your grace in the world around us. Amen
