Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley

Rebuilding Together

Our next Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley project, sponsored by Brad Cox Architect, Inc.,  is scheduled for Saturday, October 27, 2018! Bring your hearts and your energy and volunteer for this worthwhile event. Rebuilding Together brings communities and volunteers together to rehabilitate the homes of low income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, so that they may live in warmth, safety, and independence. Past projects have not only brought joy and happiness to the homeowner but have also left our volunteers with a sense of accomplishment and feelings of gratification knowing that they have helped someone who is truly in need. Go to Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley to register by October 6th (the registration page will say Brad Cox, Architects)!

Family Harvest Volunteer Opportunity

Our church provides 4-7 volunteers the second Wednesday afternoon each month to help Second Harvest Food Bank distribute food to low income families with children. Second Harvest brings a truckload of groceries to Campbell United Methodist Church, and we help from 1:30-4:30 p.m. handing out the food to families. We would be glad to have you join us in this contribution to our wider community. Upcoming events are October 10, November 14 and December 12.  Please contact Judy Stevens: if you are interested.

STAR House

STAR House

The Community Services Ministry Team is once again supporting STAR House (St. Andrew’s Residential Programs) Foster Care in bringing Christmas joy to the youth in their care. We will be donating Christmas gift bags, each filled with a gift card and miscellaneous Christmas “stocking stuffers.” Empty bags may be picked up on Sunday, November 30, and returned either of the following Sundays, December 7th or 14th. Thanks for your support in helping foster youth have a happy holiday!
