Camp Caz

Summer’s here!

Greetings to you all from the youth!

It is hard to believe that June is already here in full force. The youth program has spent much of the past eight months preparing and raising money and planning for our service trip to Seattle, and here we are only a couple weeks away!

We are so blessed to have such a supportive church family and cannot thank you all enough for your generosity, both financially and spiritually. We hope that you will stay connected with us while we are on our trip by following our blog at firstccsj.org/youth.

Besides our service trip, we have many other wonderful activities this summer. Although we do not have our weekly evening youth group, we will still meet on Sunday mornings and we have a host of other options, including a Boardwalk trip, board game nights, a Youth Overnighter, and summer camp.

You can find all of the info about those upcoming events in our weekly e-blasts or on our Facebook pages. If you are an adult who wishes they were eligible for camp, there is an option for you! Our conference is offering an Adult Spiritual Retreat August 8-10 at Camp Caz. It is only $125 and is a great chance for adults to get to be campers for a weekend.

Another wonderful opportunity for everyone will be our Apple Pie Fundraiser. We will be selling apple pies for $15 for a whole pie or $3 for a slice. The pies are made at the Sebastopol UCC with Gravenstein apples and will be served fresh on August 17th, which is also Youth Sunday. We hope you will all come out to hear the youth talk about their experiences this summer and to enjoy some warm apple pie!
