“Watch the too indignantly righteous. Before long you will find them committing or condoning the very offense which they have so fiercely censured.” ~Sri Aurobindo

PSALM 45 Mary-Ellen Petrich
My heart overflows! I have done work
of which I am proud. I have followed
my calling, and it is good!
I have been anointed with the oil of gladness
and turn to share it with others.
God says, Gladly! And now,
Let go of the past.
Embrace what is to come.
Joys and trials await you in the future—
triumphs, service and reward.
Be not afraid..
Open your heart.
Christine Robinson: Psalms for a New World
Creator God, honestly, we have not cared for the world You created to be our home. We have not seen one another as kindred, siblings made in Your image. We have sometimes sought our own comfort at the expense of another’s health or humanity. Help us instead to fling open the doors and raise the banners of love and peace, and welcome all into Your company, as You have welcomed us into Your home and heart. May we come to experience God’s extravagant welcome and hospitality through Christ’s redeeming love. Amen.

PRAYER MUSIC: Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross

Today we honor and make sacred our particular care for the world during this pandemic. We bless the masks we must don to protect this world. Together in a deep spirit of love, we acknowledge the sacred nature of our mask wearing. May we engage in prayer for healing and for wholeness, for the whole sacred world.
Let us pray together:
May I come to see the sacred nature of this mask that I wear. The grace that connects me to others in this world, and the circle of protection I enter as I wear it. Let this mask-wearing be a blessing.
